richjInstalled Quickload last night.
It seems to be easy to use. I can see using it for "what if" type stuff. I started with loads for the 7mm br. There's no 120gr 7mm in the database.
Does anyone have pointers for adding bullets to it?

Bobby TomekCan't help you with that but can tell you that 32 grains of H335 under the Nosler 120 grain BT will give you just over 2400 fps (14.5" bbl) and accuracy that has proven to be stellar in a number of 7mmBRs.

That's my load, I think I got it from you.
30-32 gr all grouped well w/120gr Sierra.
On to 140's next.
thanks

Don't know what "bullets" you want to add, but QL has just about every bullet size and shape you can think of in their data base. Click on the Data and icons above and you can load tons of bullets.

tnekkccCongrats.
I have 50 load books, and do not use them any more.
Quickload is all I need.
Here are some helpful pointers:
http://www.6mmbr.com/Quickload.htmlI know how to do what I do with QL, but I am not going to type it out in 5,000 words.
Come back to me with specific question(s).
Oh, what the heck, I will type this much:
quote:
1) Click on the Quickload icon on your desktop
2) Click on "continue".
3) select a cartridge
4) click on the 7th icon on the tool bar. It is the second image that is binoculars over a case.
5) click on "ok"
6) Click on "ok"
7) Click on "ok"
8) Click on "yes"
9) Select a bullet
10) select a powder
11) type in a powder charge
13) type in a barrel length
14) click on "Apply&Calc" in the charge section
15) Wait for 10 seconds for the velocity and pressure to appear
16) Click on the QuickTarget icon on your desktop
17) Click on continue
18) Click on "Receive Data from QuickLOAD"
18.1) Open Quicktarget table and see bullet drop and wind drift.
19) Click on the 16th icon on the Quickload tool bar that says "1 2 3".
20) Enter a maximum pressure of 65,000 psi
21) Click on "Apply&Exit"
22) Find the powder in that list, that you own, that gets the highest velocity
23) Select that powder in the charge section
24) play with it.

wildboarIt's a very nice software; you should weigh the cases you use and eventually correct that data, since it can (considerably) change the case capacity. The author indicates an average weight/capacity, that obviously varies between brands. Check also the bullet lenght, since there are some inaccuracies and that can change the case capacity too. Once you do that, Quickload is amazingly accurate. If you need some hints, just ask.
