"Steel" shotshell powder?
I got some 28ga. load data from Ballistics Products Inc.

They referenced "Steel" shotshell powder for some of the better performing loads.

Does anyone know who makes this powder?

Alliant. But in their online load data didn't see any listing for 28 ga, only 10 and 12 ga.

The 28ga. data was from Ballistics Products Inc.

The loads in question are high velocity lead loads, (1 oz. @ 1400fps in 28ga.) not steel loads.

I guess you could call them "magnum" loads as they are over 150fps faster than a standard "high brass" 20 ga load in 1 oz.

I would definately like to try some pattern testing with these loads in the 28 ga.

I load STEEL powder in my Hevi Shot loads.
STEEL powder will not go thru a bushing properly , I have to weigh each powder charge because it is so fluffy.
