Excellent tools; yours is a late model; I started off in 1966 reloading with a Lee Loader; back then they didn't have the priming tool or case trimmer. I loaded over 2000 rounds with it.

GrenadierThose little kits are superb. I had one for a few years then a worthless female obsconded with it. Mine was in .308 and it produced the most accurate loads I ever shot. It was the Mequon brand but that was the same thing as yours by the same manufacturer.
The secret of the kit are two things. One is the inside the neck reamer. It is tedious to use but reaming is only needed once per case. It reduces the thickness enough that the neck of the loaded cases are free of the chamber walls. The sizer is precise and the seated bullets are very concentric. The second thing is the precision adjustable seating depth. I would seat the bullets till they were just off the rifling. The results were remarkable.

ramrod340That is way to fancy for me. I loaded 100s of 6.5Jap and 7x57 while in High School and College.
As usual just my $.02

Dulltool17Might not be the fastest set of tools out there, but you'll be able to achieve some remarkable results!

SFRanger7GPGreat find! You can make great ammunition with these Lee hand loaders.
Thank you for your answers, the truth is that at first I did not notice when I saw the kit forum where I bought it but then I was setting as I thought "I want" and at the end because I bought it. Now we just need me to be able to learn how to handle the micrometer and adjusting projectiles. I'll tell experiences and ask for advice. The procedure will be slower than with a press but I imagine that this procedure is part of the charm to load your own cartridges.
Thanks and regards

wasbeemanI would be interested to know what you paid for the kit(I know that's rude), but many, many years ago, I saw a kit like that for a .222. I offered the owner $100 and he just smirked. And this was back when $100/week wages was very good money.

prof242You have a bargain! Despite having an RCBS Rockchucker, custom dies and all sorts of accessories, I have four of these kits and they make outstanding ammo.

Looks like they have added call sorts of bits to it.
Started loading with the original Lee Loader, and had fantastic results.
I remember getting a bit carried away seating primers in tight brass, and the primer going off in my bedroom!!
My father used to come over and says "are you alright? Don't blow yourself up"

wasbeemanI was teaching one of my sons to reload with a Lee Loader. When it came to priming the cases, I knew what was coming and just kinda laid back. Sure enough, when he popped his first primer, he almost jump out of his skin.

I have the tool to put pistons Lee sold separately. I will use that seeing that if used which is included in the kit I can take a good scare. The other primer has not given me problems unforeseen surprises.

drhall762I loaded 8x57mm ammo for years on one of these and then bought a set in .357 magnum. Slow, yes. Produce good reloads, YES! At one point I added a small scale and trickler to the mix.

NakihunterI suggest you may reconsider using the inside reamer.
The inside reamer will only open up the neck area. It WILL NOT ensure a uniform neck thickness. You will get uniform neck thickness only by OUTSIDE turning the neck using a pilot to centre the case.
Such neck turning is not necessary for hunting ammo.

The truth is that I have to learn how to use the kit. I imagine you mean when speaking of the interior reamer the contraption shaped handle. I note your suggestion.
TThanks

It's not about taking a scare. It's what particles can blow out and hit you in the eye or someone else.
Take a short barreled gun of anykind. Prime a case and turn off the lights, then fire it. IF you've never seen the flame and particles blown out doing that before you really need to do so.
Another thing I do when teaching newbies to shoot revolvers is wrap a target or paper around the gun and fire one off. I do this to demonstrate what will happen when they have the other hand around the cylinder. Mighty impressive and very well may prevent someone having fingers blown off holding two handed with one in the wrong place.
Take care with it and enjoy your new toys.

Naki, I had one of these and used it for a few years to produce some extremely accurate .308 ammo. It was lost in a move, the moving van crashed, or I would still have it today. The sizer is made to size the reamed cases. Once the neck is reamed it is oversize for the bullets. The sizing operation presses the necks down so they are snug when loaded with the bullets. If the necks are not reamed they are too thick to size properly for bullet fit. The tool works superbly as designed.
