Savage99Do you have a suppressor on that 20" bbl? If so what does the mfg say about slow burning powders? Just asking.
As to the powder I use 4350 in the 243 on bullets from 70 to 100 grs.

US1IMHO all the above powders are to slow for a 20" barrel I have used H-380 RL-15 WITH EXCELENT ACCURACY OUT OF MY MD-7 18" and no fires started here LOL.

HipsterYou might also want to look at IMR 4064 if you can get it in wales ( made here in Canada) Lists as a bit faster than RL15 or H380. Varget might also be something you could look at too if you are able to get your paws on it. Of course you will have to follow the recomendations of the Mfg's on min & max loads primers and so on but you just might find a winner. I wish I still had a .243 but being a dummy I sold the rifle. I have had stellar results in a couple of different caliber's with IMR4064 and have found it to be super accurate in the rifles I burn it in.
Hope this helps.
