What's a Nosler .22 55grain SHOTS?
Nosler has some 55 grain .224's on their seconds website for $7.95/100.

They are labeled "SHOTS" bullets. This is a new one on me. Can anyone help?

The only time I have seen "S.H.O.T.S." is for their plastic sabots.

I don't have any specific information, but I would guess that these .22 cal. 55 gr SHOTS are some cheap 55 gr spitzers (maybe the old Nosler Solid Base design, pre ballistic tip) that Nosler made a run of for an ammo manufacturer, and had some blems or left overs after the order was completed, so they are selling them for cheap through the shooter's pro shop. If I had a .22 centerfire, I would not hesitate to order some, as I have always had good luck with Noslers, be they firsts from Sportsman's Warehouse, or seconds from the Shooter's Pro Shop in Bend.

Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

These are plain nose, simple jacketed .22 bullets.
Cheap and effective. No plastic tip, no hollowpoint, no jacket grooves.

Many retailers sell these. Nosler makes them all the time. Sometimes they are called "dogtown"
bullets.

SHOTS stands for Standard Hunting or Target Shooting. They are standard cup and draw bullets designed for target or varmint shooting. Fragile jackets and in no way even close to a Solid Base design.
These are just as likely to be firsts as they are seconds, they shoot great. I use a bunch of them in 50gr.
I hope this helps.
