<Dan in Wa>Works fine in the .45 ACP. It's just a Unique type powder or close to it. I think it might be a military surplus powder. Have several pounds that was purchased 4/5 years ago and it sure doesn't look like the current stuff.

Bob338In 9X19 works great behind 115g bullets. Burns clean and gives great SD's.

Big_RI use it on all my handgun loadings with the exception of heavy .357, .44 mag, and .45 long colt loads for which I use AA#9. In my opinion, AA#5 is as versatile as unique without being nearly as dirty.

NashcatI use it in my 45 ACP and in cast bullet loads in my 44 mag. It's much easier to clean up than Unique.

<stans>I find it to be very similar to Unique in burning rate and versatility, but it is a spherical powder and meters much better from my RCBS Uniflow powder measure.

<reload>It is worth getting and the 2230 works really good in the .222 and .223 and have gotten very good groups at both 100 and 200 yards.

Ku-dudeNot only is it very good in .45 and 9mm, but it has "stuff" in it to suppress muzzle flash. That is what that green stuff is on the area in front of you when you shoot and in your pistol. Very good powder for .38,9mm,40, and 45. Ku-dude

<BigBores>I use it in 38spl, 44spl, 45acp, and light 45 Long Colt loads. Seems to burn pretty clean and I like it.

ClarkAA#5 has the most power per volume of any powder I have found.
Most people think that Bullseye will get the highest pressure in a small space, but it is not as good as a long list of powders for this.

Dino32HRI use it for .32 H&R Mag and .45 ACP. Works well, accurate, AND - a big plus - it meters great in my Auto-disk ! I've been using Titegroup for hese calibers, but it is tougher to meter. The #5 also puts more powder in the case than Titegroup, getting it closer to a fuller case.

<stans>I have used it in 9mm, 357 Magnum, 10mm, and 45ACP. It has a burning rate similar to Unique and provides similar velocities.

NashcatI use it in 38sp, 45ACP, and cast 44 Mag loads. Seems to be a lot cleaner than unique. I usually go through about 3 pounds a year.
