What powders are the least temp sensitive for 25-06 Rem , 270 Win, and 300 WM?

Whatever, the ones I've tested specifically for sensitivity to temperatures, H4350 and H4831SC, certainly are pretty stable. They should also work quite well in the calibers you mention.

Admittedly an unscientific test, I ran some 57.5 H4350/165/30-06's; 54.5 H4350/130/270's and 46 4831SC/140/260 Rem's across the chrono when it was 50-55 degrees (F), then again at 20-25 degrees, and noted average velocities that decreased from high to low temps by only 25 - 50 FPS, which is really negligible. Don't know what the effect would be of comparing, say, 80 degrees to minus 10, for instance, but, when it's 80 I'm in the pool, and when it's minus 10 I'm in front of the fireplace, anyway [Big Grin]

Ozzie hit it on the head. All of Hodgdon's extruded powders are of the extreme technology. For the three cartridges you mentioned this would be my selection and in this order. With the light to medium weight bullets, H-4350, H-4831SC. With the heavier bullets I'd start with H-4831SC and include H-1000 for bullets heavier than 180 grains in the .300WM. These are the powder that worked for me in these cartridges. Good luck.

How the hell was I ever able to hunt, all over the USA, for 40-some years, in all kinds of weather conditions? We didn't have these fantastic temperature insensitive powders until a couple of years ago!
