Bill/OregonThat's an incredible ballistic coefficient. Was this bullet designed with the Lapua in mind? Talk about "carrying the mail" way out there!

4sixteenGeneral purpose applications. Up close or at range. Launched not real fast yet retains ample downrange energy for positive smackdown. A bit higher muzzle speed with Re22.
https://shop.nosler.com/nosler...in-bullet-100ct.html I've shot 74gr. of Rl-22 with the 265 LRAB and got 2715 fps in my long throated 338. My 250 gr. AB load shoots better, so that's what I stayed with.

4sixteen338 250gr AB has a 0.575 bc and can be launched at 2800 fps.
250gr AB at 2800 fps vs. 265gr AB LR at 2700 fps. Energies are equal by 75 yards, 265gr has more downrange energy.

AtkinsonI built a 338 Win. on a 375 H&H action, and could seat out the longest of 300 gr. bullets in it, and got some real good velocity, but after the fun I sold it on AR I think..and went back to my 338 Win for elk..It competed against all the new .338s..
