Cannalure
i have some bullets with cannalure serations around the bullets. What are the pro and cons of seating to the cannalure. I ask because they are shrter than my OAL if I seat all the way to the cannalure. What is the cannalure actaually for. I have never reloaded any bullets with this so that why I am asking before I do. Thanks

The cannelure is where you would position the mouth of the cartridge if you were gonna crimp your bullets into place. If you are not gonna crimp, (no real need unless you're using a tubular magazine rifle or a really heavy recoiler) just ignore the cannelure and seat to your regular distance off the lands.
