8mm Remington Mag brass into 8x68S ?

I have both an 8mm Rem Mag and an 8x68S has anyone ever turned off the belt on the Mag brass and shortened the mag brass to lenght then resized into an 8x68S die, as the source for 8x68S brass seems to have either dried up or is non existant. Thanks

The cartridge heads are different - belt or no belt. 8x68S, head size: 13.00mm (approx. .512") vs. 8mm Rem: 13.5 mm (approx. .531"). Quite apart from the need to move the shoulder and shorten the cases considerably.

Will it work?? A lot will depend on whether your bolt head and extractor can handle the larger case head of the Magnum case.
