Just acquired some reloading hardware and am interested in reloading ammo for my 9mm.

I've looked at some reloading data online and am quite confused due largely to terminology. I don't know what all the terms are and I'm trying to load simple rounds to begin with to take to the range to shoot and have become quite concerned about the process and the inherent dangers with errors.

Can someone give me some simple guidelines to start out with? or is that not possible? Most of my current 9mm rounds are 115gr and I have collected quite a few cases to date.

I am eager to learn but, alone, I am concerned with what I do not know that I do not know. Does that make sense?

Start out with Lyman #49, plus the manuals for the bullets you will be using. All your questions will be answered.

Start with the Lyman 49 manual and read it. It will answer most questions.
Also if you post your location someone may be close enough to help you on a 1 on 1 basis. I have helps quite a number of people.
Reloading can be as simple or complex as you make it.

I can't add too much to what the other guys have said - they all gave good advice.
The only thing I might suggest is to go to one of the recommended load manuals mentioned and start very slowly. Select a powder listed for your caliber/bullet weight combo and only load a few cartridges at a time. Hopefully, you have someone locally to give you some assistance and, as was mentioned above, feel free to post questions on the board. Lottsa guys here that do know what they're doing.

There are some very helpfull people on here. One thing you may consider is to add your location to your profile. We have members all over the world and if you live close enough to some they may be willing to give some instuction. This would be the best way to learn.

If you don't want to take the time to understand what you are doing don't reload
at all.

Get a manual and bone up on the basics. There are several good ones out there and you need them anyway. I would suggest getting several of them and study them well.

Start low and work up. And only use modern, published data. There are some very good vintage books around, but many of their loads are outdated and are behind on things like modern powders and better testing methods.
