Quality Of Lapua Made Brass!
I had 174 cases of once fired 338 Lapua Magnum brass from Lapua factory ammo, in both 250 grains and 300 grains bullets.

As we usually do, we sized the, trimmed, and uniformed the primer pockets.

Then I weighed them.

6 were 327 grains which is 3% of this lot
69 were 328 grains 40%
75 were 329 grains 43%
24 were 330 grains 14%

This is absolutely fantastic quality control.

Well done lapua, their reputation is well founded.

I have never been disappointed by Lapua brass. The gold standard as far as I am concerned.

I like RWS as the best yet and Lapua runs neck and neck, but for my "hunting" I like cheap PPU and WW about as well..

I bought a box of 100 Lapua .308 "Palma" cases (the one with the small primer pocket).

I weighed just 10 of them, at random. They ranged from 175.8 to 176.2gr (a spread of just 0.4gr or 0.23%).
The flash holes were all pretty much exactly 1.5mm (I had to make new de-priming pins for my dies).
The neck thicknesses were within 0.001" for all but 4 of the cases.

Before I build any new rifle I look to see if Lapua makes brass for it first...it is one of the few companies where you can see where the extra cost goes.

If Lapua doesnt make it for a caliber I want then I go with Norma.

Saeed, Agree Lapua cases are top notch. I do not understand the need to weigh, much less sort, cases. Your thoughts please.

Have used Lapua brass for years with my .338 Lapua and .416 Rigby and have always found the quality top notch. Never had to worry about loading and shooting new brass out of the box. All were annealed and ready to go. Good shooting.

It is ridiculous stuff. Use it in my 9,3.
