If anyone has any of the bulk remington .458 caliber 400 gr. sp bullets and wouldn't mind taking a couple mearsurement for me, I would be very thankful. My order hasn't arrived yet and I need this measurement by lunch time tomorrow. I need to know the lenght of the bullet measured from the center of the bottom crimp groove to the tip of the nose and I need to know the measurement from the center of the bottom crimp groove to the point where the bullet is no longer full diameter or basically where the ogive starts.

Are you referring to the 405gr soft point? If so the first measurement is .775 and the second is .320 by my best measurements. I use these in my 45/70 Marlin Guide Gun.
