2ndtimersmall rifle primer shortage?
I tried to search this topic, but didn't find anything, so I thought I would ask. Where the heck are the small rifle primers? I can't find any Remington 7½ primers anywhere, locally or online. And the local Sportsman's Warehouse doesn't have any of any brand in stock, and has no idea when they will be getting any in. I realize the war in Iraq and Afghanistan is requiring a ton of small arms munitions, but is this the only reason? Any one else noticed a problem, or heard anything from the manufacturers? I prefer the Remington 7½'s but may have to go to the CCI-450 since that is all I can find around here.
I tried to buy some 7 1/2's the other day and the guy at the gunshop said he hadn't seen any recently. Ended up buying 6 1/2's.

Talking to friends at the local range, they have run into the same problem. Hard to find small rifle primers even in the big stores. guess iraq is the reason. van

tnekkccI just went to the store to get 7000, but they only had 2000, so I got that.
They said they could get more.
