Barnes TSX 85 in a 243 Winchester
I've at last got hold of some 85 TSX bullets and can't find any load data for it.
I have some AA4350, Varget and RL15 (I usually use lighter bullets).
Can anyone recommend a good load to start with.
Thanks

Hey, johnny, how are you doing? In december I spent a few days near Elveden, just foggy, we could see a 50 yards mostly and all the deer were gone before we spotted them!
Anyway, you could use a maximum of 38 grains Varget or RL 15 as well. Expected velocity about 3200 fps, depends on your barrel length. VithaVuori N 160 can do, maximum about 42 grains, vel. about 3250 fps. Mind your pressures! Nice day,
Jan.

I vote for Varget also.

Thanks Terry & Jan.
Varget is plentiful, so that is good news.
I am surprised though, I would have thought it was too fast. Varget never ceases to amaze me.
It was the most accurate in my .17, 223, 22-250, 243 (light stuff). I'll give it a go.
Thanks again.
