boomstickTarget load, .44 Mag, Bullseye or WW231?
Anyone out there have a good load for Bullseye or WW231 for a Keith "type" generic lead cast @ 240 gr.

Alaska Bush Man250 Kieth Hard cast and 22.0 grain of 2400 with a Large Pistol Primer not Magnum Primer
This is the old Kieth Load, very good hunting load also, good on the gun and shooter

MingbogoIt is a lot of fun to shoot a light load that consists of 5 grains of either Bullseye or Titegroup with the ligthest cast bullet available. Be careful not to DOUBLE CHARGE Bullseye or Titegroup, as it can be deadly. Have fun!

HcliffI like 231. I am going to try Titegroup as Ming uses. I just spoke on Friday to Hodgdon and they are very high on this powder. It works great in big bores. I also like HS-7 for more mid loads

Andre MertensUsing the 250 SWC (Lyman 429421), I've had good results with :
B'E / 5.0 (very mild)
UNIQUE / 8.5 (a little livier, my std. target load)
2400 /21.0 (powerful, target accuracy - NB. : I used to load 22.0 but found it a little hard on a S&W 29 for continuous use, so I dropped a grain with no loss in accuracy).

<bigcountry>You know I love my 9gr of Unique in my 44Mag. Kicks nice, very accurate, but its so messy and and dirty. Any other powders you would recommend instead of Unique?

KLNFor a general purpose .44 Mag load, I like 9.3/231 with the 240 or 250 lead swc. It makes 1080 fps in my 4" M29, and is accurate, easy on the gun and shooter, and clean burning.

oneillsTry 6.5 gr of 231 with any 240/250 gr lead SWC and a standard primer.

greg pTry 6 grain of sr7625 and 245 grain swc. About 850fps and fairly accurate. Hardly any recoil

<bigcountry>231 huh. Never tried any of the Winchester powders. Guess its time I do.
