Mule SkinnerDillon Powder Measure and Hodgdon Clays
I am planning on loading .45ACP on my Dillon 650 and would like to know if Hodgdon Clays feeds accurately through the Dillon powder meaqsure? What other powders do you recommend for the .45 ACP and the Dillon measure? Thanks!

laduckkillerMule Skinner,
On my 550 (same powder measurer I believe)...it is usually less than 0.1 grains (and usually less than that). I find mine will stay under that with HP-38, Unique, WIN231, Titegroup, and bullseye. Plenty accurate for 45ACP.

IceHoleKenClays, WW231, WW452(discontinued but I'm finishing up an old 10lb keg), AA2 and AA5 all meter real well through the Dillon. I leave it set up for .45acp and use the single stage for the other calibers.
I have used 231 the most, but switched over to Clays a couple years ago, much cleaner burning then 231. Clays is also an excellent shotgun powder for trap and skeet rounds, so you can kill two birds with one stone (no pun intended).

PerforatorMy 550B meters clays flawlessly. In fact, the only thing that poses a problem so far has been long extruded powders into small cases.
