What in the heck do they expect from a 71 y/o batty ass woman,,,let alone one crazy enough to be crusing around in a u-haul van,,I really think the u-haul employees should be the ones under prosecution for renting the damn van to her in the first place.I can hear them now chuckling under thier breath,,,,,hey joe!!!!,,,bring around that '71 ford f-350 we've been wanting to retire!!!!!!!!They should have saved some of the tax payers cash and shot the whole lot of crats on the spot,,,or went to the hardware store and picked up a hatchet Roll Eyes I truly hate crats,,Clay

I'm thinking that maybe the old woman had hooked up the exhaust to go through the back of the van. Then, maybe she could paint pictures of happy cats on the side.

So many cats, so little ammo. They're reason I bought a suppressor.

I thought the cats were ammo?

What have I been doing wrong?!

Hmmmmmm, now that does present an interesting idea. Create a spud gun, but for cats, fashion a sabot, and launch. I'm going to work on this. We have a full machine shop at work, no reason to waste it on something else.

Forget the sabot, just make the bore undersized and ram em in!

Think "air cannon"

My goal is maximum velocity. I want a big thud whenever they land.

High pressure and you're going to run into the same problem now facing the the Punkin Chunkers: you don't have a projectile, but a fine spray.

Kills the cat just as dead, just not as much fun.

Ask Digital Dan about his "Dartgame" idea involving lil' Al.

One word, TREBUCHET! See the cat throwing post, hehe

You might get two hundred yards with a treb.

You should get at least 2500 FEET with an air cannon.

Take a look at the Punkin Chunkers. The Air cannon class is the longest distances by a huge margin.

2 big differences...the punkin chunkers have a requirement for NO SABOT, and pumpkins are hollow, making them much more fragile.

Add a tougher, saboted projectile and one could expect a significant improvement in pressure resistance. Now the big problem is that the crat is likely much less aerodynamic. If one used a lot of duct tape, I believe a nice streamlined projectile is quite possible! Big Grin

I would LOVE to be the one to find out just how much pressure the average barnyard crat could withstand... Cool

But, when the punkin chunkers splatter one upon launch, they call it 'makin pie'...as in pumpkin pie. What would the correct term be for crat mist???

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
