The most unusual cat I ever got
The most unusual cat I ever got was a proxy cat. They are pretty rare. I missed a big orange tom at the bird feeder in the back yard one evening after work, while I was enjoying a six-pack on the patio and fooling around with my brand new Whammo "SUPER" slingshot. The one I missed just ran away. I missed because it was a new cat control tool and I was learning how to shoot it while impaired. The "SUPER" was a rare model only made for a few months and was specifically engineered to shoot .451 round ball accurately to 40 yards and with 87 foot-pounds of terminal energy. I tell you, I found out later that it was a real crat thumper and any body shot in the front end was a stopper-permanently on the spot. Some hits through brush, or at an angle were slower acting though. Pretty soon afterward the big orange one came slinking back to the feeder. You know how ranch cougars are. Sneaky, felinous. This time the shot connected low between the abdominal and chest areas just under the spine. That cat hauled grass out of the yard and right straight to the top of the neighbors 60 foot tall poplar, the kind you see planted in rows. Now the neighbors at that time were first class bleeding-heart cat huggers and it just so happened they were cooking out , vegetable kabobs and french spring water, you know. They were why I was learning how to use the silent "SUPER" in the first place. So I ran over by my fence and pointed out the cat way up there. The lady went hysterical and the strong silent, liberal type guy comforted her with "I'LL call the fire station". Sure enough the ladder truck, pumper, EMS truck and chiefs from two different districts showed up ready to get their pictures in the local fishwrapper. They got the ladder truck all jacked up, ladder up by the cat, and the fireman who got the short straw was on his way up the ladder to glory. His gloved hand just touched that cat when it keeled over and landed on the driveway like a dipper full of mashed potatoes-plop, splat-dead as a hammer! And that's the most unusual cat I ever got.

Definately extra style points on that one!

NS, that reminds me of the secret to success for rain makers. It's all in the timing.

Keep up the good work! thumb
