ELKMAN2Cutting
One of my friends has a cat around his shop for the vermin, I tell him the cat is vermin but that is another story. Last Sunday it was decided the cat should be neutered, The cat did not have a vote in this matter. it was caught and put in the sleeve of a jacket, with the rear end sticking out. Two quick cuts with a pocket knife and it was done, a lot of yowling and scratching during the process, the big problem was getting it out of the jacket sleeve. A junior member of the group was assigned the job. He returned with minor scratches and said he has never seen a cat run that fast!! snd by the way no one had the jacket on at the time!!

CDHAround here the preferred restraining tool is an old leather boot. Stuff the head down and keep stuffing until nothing but the backside is showing. Duct tape the hind legs if they flail to much and get to snippin!

poletaxWhen I was young(back when dirt was new)my Grandma would tell me my Rock&Roll music sounded like someone 'nuttin' a hog.
I finally got to hear this years later on a nearby farm.

My grandma must have not liked my music very much.

HTRNYou guys are doing wrong as usual

Do I have teach you everything?
First you have to restrain the animal - I recomend glueing the animal to a board.
Next comes the surgery itself - since we don't want the animal to suffer, we want to accomplish the task as quickly as possible, I strongly suggest using a sharp hatchet.
Seeing as how this is kinda gruesome work, do what I do and close your eyes. This unfortunately results in a dead cat alot of the time due to misplaced blows. Therefore practice is really needed.
