Bob KNeed help
The subject of punt guns came up in conversation. Shortly after this I noticed a small herd of lawn lions down the street. Wheels started to turn. Where can I find plans for the building of such a device.

MarteriusI guess that a 6 ga double ought to stir the fur of those lawn lions:

DigitalDanI agree that Punt Guns might be a bit cumbersome unless perhaps mounted on a pintel mount on the back of my truck. In which case they would do just dandy around dumpsters and such.
I read once that one variety used 4 oz of black to a pound of shot.

Bet it put out one helluva cloud of smoke. There was something posted awhile back about some yahoo(not.com) that used a cannon loaded with buckshot to grease a deer somewhere at a respectable range. It was a bigger charge though and it was mounted on a carriage.

Bob KDan,
Thid was my thought. The Ranger has a canopy, I could eaisly fix it up so I could mount the punt gun in the bed. Fix up some sort of device that would lower the tailgate by remote. fix up some sort of sighting device rigged to the rearview mirror. back down on the dumpster at the local oyster plant. Pull the lanyard and slowly drive away. Blue plate at the Golden Chopstix for a month!

Put a hitch on it and tow it with your lawn mower. 1 1/2" bore, 2 1/2oz BP, 72 .50cal RB. Or 1 1/2 lbs #4 Buck.

120mmI WAS going to suggest a 1.5 inch swivel gun, but someone already beat me to it
