120mmWhat I actually said in a large crowd.
I was waiting in line last Sunday, in the Frankfurt, Germany, International Airport. Someone who knows my aversion to felinus disgustinus pointed out that the lady behind me had a large long-hair cat in a special cat-carrier. As I'd gone without sleep for several days, I wondered aloud (very loud, as I am partly deaf, and when tired do not use my "indoor voice", "I wonder if someone needs to tell her that they are serving meals on this flight. She didn't need to bring her own..."
The lady, who either understood English, or understood ME, glared at me and moved between me and her future road-kill on paws.
Oh, well, not everyone has taste.

DigitalDanAnd even fewer carry their taste in a kitty carrier, but the idea has merit.

120mm, guess you're headed east again?

Always remember that if you keep headed that way you'll wind up in California, or someplace that sounds like it.
Take care,
Dan

claybusterGood going 120!!!!!It's allways fun to raise some good and honest hell in an airport after a long flight,,possibly suffering some jetlag,,or just waiting to go through the check point,,or whatever they call that long line after the first long line,,,,Like the time I stepped out of british customs in heathrow[1 hour after leaving the plane] Had been drinking scotch and beer chasers from nyc to london,,,I felt the overwhelming need to construct a neat and orderly line at the coffee hut after someone jutted in front of me as I was placing my order,,,the punk that thought he could cut in was at the end and rather red faced.Clay

Old Elk HunterThat is a line I will remember! When I was in the Phillipines a young Navy Lieutenant and his wife came into a restaurant. She was carrying their young puppy. Some people take their pets everywhere. She must have thought it was courteous of the waiter to take care of their beloved pet while they ate. After dinner the rukus started when she went to retrieve their puppy and was told that it had been served to them as the main entre. It is the first time I have seen someone vomit and scream at the same time. Puppy is a delicacy in most Asian countries.

N. S. SherlockActually, while I was rather fond of the barbecued monkey meat, I always suspicioned it was dog and cat. Later, after I prepared my own, I knew.

Old Elk HunterI spent a lot of my free time with some locals hunting in the area around Subic Bay. Got pretty good a hitting monkeys. I learned quickly that if dinner tasted good, don't ask what it used to be. The locals lead a primitive life through no fault of their own. The most popular place was a fast food joint that opened up - would you believe a Kentucky Fried Chicken. I suspect a lot of the meat tasted like chicken but wasn't. Grass shacks on top of bamboo poles were a common housing option. You kept your pigs underneath. You respected their lifestyle. You stayed the hell away from their daughters. It was vital that they remain virgins until they were married. In general some pretty decent folks once you adapted to their reality. I stayed out of the bars. One good reason that I am still alive today. I was standing on a street in a little town when I heard someone shout "stop that kid, he stole my wallet." The next thing I saw was a PC (Phillipine Constable) step out of a doorway and rip the kid with rounds from his M16. Swift and violent justice.

120mmDan, I've never looked as heavy as I really am. When I last saw you, I was pushing 230 or so. People I know have always wondered where I hide all that on a 5' 9" frame. I'm now a much healthier 190 something. As a side benefit, the wife is having trouble keeping her hands off me, which is always a "good thing".
Gawd, you're COMPLAINING about weighing 230?! I would kill to get down to that...
Then again, I have something like 6 inchs over ya!

I just checked last week and I was "down" to 275, I practically did a happy dance!
