BuffHunter63Not much for snake, but monitor lizard in a stir fry is not bad.
Crocodile cooked with saffron is heavenly.

IOWADONWhen in 7th or 8th grade I shot a garter snake with a pellet rifle and cooked and ate it. It tasted fine but there was very, very little meat.

georgeldA late lady friend used to be camp cook on
elk hunts.
She told me her favorite trick was cooking
rolls with frosting on 'em and passing them out.
Especially to the newbies. The old hands knew
better.
She said most times someone would say:
"Alice this tastes like shit!"
Horse apples. I'd just about kill over that one.

AtkinsonwELL Georgeld, Ive always said if someone grew up eating shit, they would develope a taste for it, your post proves my point..
the other thing is just how hungry,an empty stomach over times loses its queseness and the bad stuff starts tasting good..
Food in camp tastes better than when its cooked at home in many cases, most of know that..Ive eaten a big boar Javalina and a roadrunner in a dry camp in Mexico, it was great, tried it at home and gagged on both..
Food is a mind thing..
