DigitalDanBen, that item filtered thru here a few weeks back. I don't really understand why a guy would use a bunny when all those crats are out there, and probably they would make more money. Just a thought, and in the fashion of so many ransome/kidnap scenarios, take the money, whack the crat. It's the best of all worlds! Don't quote me on that in public though.

Ben589Yeah, after reading that one - I was thinking of making a similar website ...
Donate $50,000 to me and I'll eat a rhinocerous.
I'd even use the donated $50,000 to buy myself a good rhino gun, plane tickets, and hunting license, then sit and be filmed as I clean, cook, and eat the rhino... and maybe invite a village or something over for a rhino cook-out.
.....
I did send the guy back an email. Here's my reply to him:
Hi. I'll start with saying I'm from Alabama, and I've found your site amusing. It gave me and most of my friends a good laugh, so thanks.
Just as a word of caution though, rabbits can carry tularemia (rabbit fever) year around. You should be very careful and make sure Toby is well cooked and use rubber gloves when you handle him raw. You may know all this already, but from your website it didn't sound like you have a lot of experience with wild game.
Good luck to you, and I hope your rabbit is tasty. Personally I prefer rabbits cleaned and well par-boiled, then slow-roasted for a while in a crock-pot on low with a mixture of a light BBQ sauce or merinade, and maybe a little balsamic vinegar to taste if it suits you, until the meat is almost falling off the bones. Take it out of the crock-pot, and using a fork, peel the rest of the meat off the bones - shredding it as you go. Mix in a little fresh BBQ sauce or whatever other seasoning you prefer, if desired, and eat it either plain or as a BBQ sandwich with a nice potato salad and cole slaw.

KentuckyMountainManWhat an idiot. Don't people know that this guy is just a joke? Hell, thousands of rabbits die everyday, just because people like to eat rabbit. I've even heard of people going to the pet stores to get them, just to save on ammo and they are cheaper than chicken.

14 April 2005, 03:05
claybusterKmm,,I can bag rabbit all day long for 2 cents a shot,,and thats being a bit liberal,,The problem is there's nothing left of them after the .22mag blows them to bits. That also blows your "cheaper than ammo" thing clear out of the water.I can also bag them with my R-9 for a penny a shot,,,,,not as spectacular of a hit though,,Kills them just the same.I asked you to post some of you own "small game" Hunting experiences,,You're still holding your dick in your hand and pissing,,,,,Shit or get off the pot,,,Clay

Old Elk HunterI think this SAVE TOBY guy has the right idea. He is basically telling the PETA folks to put your money where your mouth has been. If you want the rabbit to live, then pay up!
To do a SAVE KITTY campaign one of you guys has got to be willing to eat a kitty to make the threat real. I'm sorry, but that's not the kind of pussy I prefer to eat. Who's going to volunteer???

Don't think so. If you really knew anything about the Civil War then you would know that Kentucky was split down the middle. Just so happens that one of the Confederate recruiting camps is less than 30 minutes from me. Oh yeah, and I am a proud member of these 2 groups too.

DigitalDanI'm a lot suspicious of the Windy State, and Atlanta seems to be a microcosm of....RSA? Went to Atlanta a few years back...like the bird said, "Nevermore".
KMM, for what it's worth, my heart felt sentiments:
Your entry here was akin to walking into the Vatican whilst on a Roman Holiday, and announcing "You're wrong, the 7th Day Adventists are right.", then arguing the point in their house. We've been thru one holy war here, another ain't gonna hurt...if that's what you want.
We eschew sensitivity and propriety for the most part, but generally try to get the message across to newcomers such as yourself, at least once or twice. I made this reasonably clear awhile back, and advised you that it you want to chat about small game we'd be happy to do so. Clay made the same point. So far all we see is somebody trying to make waves without bringing substantive issues to the fore.
There, I think that's clear enough. Consider this as neighborly advice. It won't be repeated.
BTW, there's a Political Forum here at AR too, they'd probably love to hear from you.

DigitalDanKnow what you mean Clay. BTW, I use a nylon scabbard in the vehicles, makes change over a snap! Of course I don't use snaps, that was just a snappy phrase...what I do is get a sail needle and sew the D-rings to the back of the seat, small end a bit down hill. Hop out, pull the seat forward and slide it out... Works on all manner of guns, just make sure it's close to the right length, and wet up for scopes, then it can go either way.

Ben589Bah! We haven't lost, we're just taking some time to regroup.
The only reason the North even won was Sherman who came down through here burning all the crops and slaughtering all the farm and draft animals so the women and older guys/kids couldn't plow the fields anymore.
Sherman didn't kill the families, he just destroyed homes, crops, and farms, then left everyone out to starve with no roofs over their heads.
Makes for one hell of a kick to morale when the South's troops all know their wives and kids are back home cold and hungry... if it wasn't for Sherman, the South would never have given up. At least, that's my opinion on things and how I've seen it.
Brilliant man, superb tactics - a real bastard from the word go as far as I'm concerned, but one to be admired.

Old Elk HunterOn a visit to Atlanta on business I was talking to two young folks at the counter in the hotel. I wondered if they were Yanks so I asked them where I could find the General Sherman Memorial. One tried to look it up while the other glared at me and wouldn't answer. I knew then which one was a Yank. I also quickly told the other one that it was a joke so that I wouldn't get stabbed in my sleep.
