It was a warm pleasant 80degrees farenhiet, i'm driving home from work at about 1505, when what should catch my eye, but a white crat with a grey "saddle"marking on it's back, the clever critter lept infront of a gasonline tanker truck narrowly avoiding it's massive tires and weight, and within a split second it was 6inches infront of my driverside front tire,

i listen hopefully, and i hear it, the happy little thump thump of one less crat in the world.. cut down in it's prime by an S-10 running on P205-75-R15's... hehehe, as i looked in my side mirror i could see several little tufts of crat hair hitting the windshield of the car that previously had been tailgating me...

DigitalDanWhat an incredibly heart warming tale!

Takes me back to the days of Ol' Blue, when I had to get a new door to paste Calico Crosses on. God but I do miss that truck.

N. S. SherlockIt seems that those S-10s have a great combination of nimblicity and power for that kind of work.

They sound like highly effecient crat killers.

I made ace each year from 95 to 99 in my S-10. Still think fondly of it. Not much power in a 4-banger, 5-speed. What it lacked in that regard, however, it made up in nimblicity. My last two powerful F-150s are like fat ballerinas when it comes to dancing with cats.

ARhunter42019N.S. hmmm i've never had a power problem with either of the S-10's i've had, other than the 1st one and it wasn't a lack of power LOL it was a 4.3L v-6 automatic monster with a long wheelbase... if the roads were wet, i could hang it up the tires were going over atleast twice every time i took off LOL the one i have now only has a 2.3L 4 cyl. and a 5-speed, but i don't have any problems with power with it, and you are right they are agile little trucks... but as i'm getting older i'm starting to want a full size so i have a little more ground clearance etc... ya know... i just hate to give up the almost 30/mpg i'm getting now LOL

jdhawgCongrats ARhunter.
while many other methods of krat annihilation are discussed at length on this forum nothing still compares to the satisfaction of roadkill. Might need to ask Saaed to give us a new forum only for us mobilely-inclined, nimblicity-seeking, krat-squishingest...

120mmMy all time favorite cat killer was a 1970 Chrysler station wagon, with speed wing and 440 advanced wedge police intercepter engine. Who needs nimbilicity when you can make Mr. Cat Killing Car accelerate to 125 anytime you want, in a blink of an eye.
I was either up to 67 or 69 cats killed, and one Mazda 626 cut completely in two before I parked it for a more economical car...
