I just got my order from midway. I am as excited as a two peckered billygoat. The loot:

A new target barrel and stock kit for 10-22
A new Weaver 6-20X scope for my .22-250
Various smaller items.

If anybody is interested, Midway has the 10-22 combos on sale through June for $80 for Adams and Bennet barrel blued with .920 stock.

I plan to take my 4.5-14 off my .22-250 and put it on my 7mm WSM.

If I don't stop spending so much money, the wife unit is going to kill me.

Advise wife unit it is a Father's Day present or just replacemnt parts.....sometimes that works for me.

Now, you need the target trigger and hammer for the 10-22. That's a sweet outfit!!! Congrats!!

I don't think he would claim the PH from trying to mount one, I think he would be injured by BEING MOUNTED by it. We know his A-hole is big enough for one, but where would the second pecker go? Now isn't that a picture worth a thousand words!

Hugh, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Hope you enjoy your new rig. Get yourself another barrel chambered in the HM2 and have additional giggles! Ignore your wife's comments on the subject and either she'll learn to accept it or go away. A no lose proposition.

In the FWIW dept., I bought an old 10/22 deluxe some years back for the receiver as I wanted to do a Volquartsen Firefly mod. Then I started tinkering with it while saving money for the project...bedding, trigger...1/2" shooter at 50 yards for 10 shots...beat out a wad of guys on a standup 50 yards competition one day, informal but way too serious. 50 rounds at a small bore target, 10/bull IIRC. Sent 4 Volquartsens packing that day, and a few others. Yep, I like the Weaver K2.5, never lets me down. Truth of it is their guns weigh so much they wore themselves out chasing the crosshairs, but I figure it was a cheap lesson. Used Win. Power Points, still do. Anyway, it never did turn into a short shooter, and I halfway regret the whole thing. Mebbe one of these days I'll go ahead and finish my plan.
