There ya are. On the banks of the Little Fishing Creek. Got your folding chairs, 64 beer cooler, truck right there, barbeque fire started, you and mortie he-hawing around, half-lit, drinkin' all dam day, shootin' the *hhit, now getting worn out tired, waiting for dusk to set out the "cat" lines. Put the 12 ought treble in good, in the stiff bloated, stinking road kill deer you and mortie picked up on the way already dead along the roadside cuz you were loaded. You both were really blitzed by then. mortie bet his old Mossberg 12 pump he would get the biggest cat with a rotten hunk of deer, so after a few more beers it was easy to get him to tie the rope with the treble hooked dead deer around his ankle. Catch a 'moungus BIG cat. Not long after, just about the time he jumped up claiming his foot was on fire, the rope tightened on his other leg and an inexorably slow, relentless pull started. Must a been a pretty big cat to be tussleing that carcass downstream. But who gives a flyin' .... mortie can swim, or at least he won't sink. About 65 yards out he really starts hollerin'. "Beer, Beer, throw me a beer, I'm gonna get this SOB'n cat!" Get'em mortie, getem! But somehow it just didn't work out that way.........

I always wondered what happened to Mortie.
The painful loss was the # 12 treble hook.

I heard on the radio this morn that some fishermen in Bartown(?) Fla. found some human remains beside a pond down there.
Officials came in a killed a 7-9 foot Alligator and when they opened it up,they found the corpes missing arm.
I figure it is a bitch to swim w/one arm.
DD, Al is not missing is he?
