So how did my mom do? UPDATE!! Almost complete rearrangement-New pics on1st post!!!
We built a trophy room back in 2001, before I had even been on an African safari in anticipation that someday we might have quite a few "dead animal heads" in the "jumanji room." clap

Well I guess my dad and I have gone a little crazy since then (3 trips to Africa, spring breaks to Texas to visit friends who happen to have exotics, etc) but you know how that goes. Anyway, my mom actually enjoys arranging them as "aesthetically pleasing" as possible. If it makes her happy, than I'm happy for sure. Anyway, this is how it looks as it is now.

Mom did all right, but I think you need a bigger trophy room.
You guy's have really outdone yourselves.

I found one suitable word in my vocabulary: WOW!
But I also think you need a bigger room if you're going to keep up this "work".. Big Grin
Thanks a lot for sharing!
Your mom did great, btw!

All those since 2001?! And you say you and your dad went a little crazy?!

I'd say you got the fever bad! Fun, isn't it?

very nice, but you do need another room.

You need a bigger room and your sister needs to marry a Taxidermist. You boys have some trigger time, damn. thumb

On second thought, I offer myself up for adoption.

You are at the point where the next animal you shoot will cost you about $100,500.

$500 for the mount and $100,000 for the addition!
lol
Can you post larger pictures? I would like to be able to "browse" through the animals better!

My sentiments, exactly! You are hunting your way into an addition.

Looks like some beautiful work, bigger pictures would be nice. Your mother did a fine job in the arrangement of the room. Outstanding trophy room!

Awesome looking trophy room. I like the diversity in animal species, especially the Nile Lechwe. I need a friend with an exotic's ranch.

Just received my trophies from Karoo Taxidermy from the animals I took last summer with Blauuwkrantz on the East Cape. Looks like they made it in good shape. Even got the bontebok home, that is the one that really worried me. Unfortunately, I am not even home so my parents get to see them. I just got these pictures sent to me. If I were home I would have them out of there and on the kitchen counter probably. dancing

As many of you have mentioned we are running out of space and I have no idea where most of them are going to be placed!!!!!!

Please post pics once you get the animals out and hung. Some of the Nile lechwe as well please - that's just such a rare and awesome trophy!

Yes, we unpacked and hung as many as we could. We took down all the whitetails and hung them in my dads upstairs office. Overall though it is still a work in progress.

Wonderful collection, great taxidermy, and many exceptional animals.

I've seen public museums that didn't have that many animals.

You are an inspiration. thumb

Jorge- Thanks! The walls are 18 feet tall. I need to put up scaffolding each time I hang something up. I just picked up 13 more mounts today and left them in my enclosed trailer to put up after the holidays!

the tree i thought looked a little over lit and quite thin compared to the tropy collection
as that was quite impressive
but on the whole your mum did good thumb
now if we were talking trophy Xmas trees
you may need a bigger room
