Thunder HeadYep,
Even when the buck gets so wide it doesnt help the score, no one cares. They just look so awsome with a giant spread. I would shoot your wives buck any day.
The 39" is like a far off dream.

Alaska Hunterllamapacker,
Your home is gorgous. You sound like you really enjoyed the whole building process. Congradulations, you've built something to be proud of.
I built my house, starting in 2000 and completed it in 2003. By the time it was complete my wife and I would have sold it at a loss if we could have. We just detested it. I build for a living but to build for myself is so painful. We love the house now, but it took a while to get over the building experience.
Well that said, I'm about to do it again. We've got our architect working on the design for a 3500 foot trophy room additon. We hope to start in May with the digging. I can't believe I'm going to do this, it's not like we need the room, its just her and I and our house is 6000 now.
I'll start a post with pictures when we get started.

Alaska HunterThanks Bill.
That is a good point about the family size in Utah. It sounds like you made a good choice with regards to sq foot, like you said maybe not now but in the future.
I'm way over built for the area I'm in now. The house is currently one of the highest taxed homes in the borough, so adding on does not make finacial sense. The only reason to do it is, because i want too.

collectorWow, very nicely done. You may want to augment the trophy room with some trophy birds. Feel free to contact me and I can give you some great ideas.
