Yes, I have booked for the dark of the moon in May of 2012 with Nixon D'zingai. He has both the Malapati Safari Area (daylight only) and the adjacent communal area.

BaxterBWow, wow, wow...umm, WOW!
Very nice room! Add me to the list of people agreeing with your decision to leave the tusks stained. An absolutely beautiful room. POne of the most tasteful I have seen. A great balance of trophies, souvenirs and most importantly to enjoy them all, space.

of your next set of tusks. Well done & nice ivories!

Beautiful room. What is the story behind the single tusk on the table?

AndersNice tusks and nice room!

RAC,
The tusk on the table between the two pedestal tusks is the mate to the tusk lying on the table with the cape buffalo skull. The broken tusk is 6 pounds lighter than it's mate.

h kittleScott,
I do not know how I missed this post other than I am busy, busy at work. I have also acquired a hunting cabin that was damaged by the spring floods. My buddy who owned it said he was too old to clear up and redo. He is around 74. He gave me the place and have torn out all the flood damage area and are preparing to rebuild and that has certainly been occupying our time.
Your trophy room is fantastic. I do love the tusk. I hope you will not mind if I copy you.
I have been shooting my double as much as possible. I am not where I want to me but I will get there.
Stay in touch and give my best and to Pam and Chad

WOW! . . one HELLUVA Bushbuck! . . . I've shot a couple in the class with yours and will post when I've figured out how to do it . . .
If I may offer some un-solicited advice, you might consider adding some sort of curtains to the windows, even indirect natural sunlight can bleach out a trophy's hair is short order. Particularly black animals like Sable or Black Wildebeest, but sunlight will also wash the color quite quickly from brownish colored mounts like Bushbuck or Hyena. your Lichtenstein Hartebeest looks to be quite exposed. Is it starting to lose color? My Dad's trophy room has a full mount bushbuck about 25 feet back from a window that receives indirect sun for only about 2.5 hours a day and it's color washed out in about 6 years!
But enough of my concern . .
LOVELY TROPHY ROOM!

AntlersSBT, thanks for the close-up of the hippo display. Sorry I just found it; I was in Zim when you posted it. I like this option very much and will probably go that route if I ever take a hippo.
Very nice room, BTW. The ivories look great!

SBTThanks all.
Anbessa,
Advise is always welcomed. The windows have blinds. They were pulled up to let enough light into the room to take the photos.
I just read a thread where a hunter took a 20" buchbuck. Unbelieveable!
