Africa mounts are in there new home
Somehow i have misplaced the demolition pictures. Anyway, i completely gutted this room to the studs. Removed two windows to add wall space and stripped the floor to bare concrete. The wife is still looking for a few pieces to go in but were pretty much complete.

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

It's a nice touch to add the native artwork. I brought back masks, tapestries, and one of those ubiquitous hand-made axes all the trackers use....enhances the memories. Now if we all pitch in to get you a new door, you're all set!!!!

Thanks guys,

Thats funny Biebs,
The wife is in the middle of replacing all the doors in the house with antique stained glass doors. She has got alot of refinishing to do.

Very nice! Like the black pedestals. I would like to do a concrete floor in my room, how did you treat it?

I stripped and cleaned it. Then we used concrete stain to color it. The wife came up with applying it using a faux finish technique like you would do on the wall.

I never ever thought I would like a Zebra shoulder mount until I saw a buddies pedestal and I have to say they are one of the coolest mounts I have ever seen. Congrats. Looks like an awesome trip and now they are finally home, good for you!

The zebra mount is absolutely stunning, and I thought they were only good for rugs....hmmmm..you have made me reconsider.

Thunder Head, Very nice collection of trophys and beautifully displayed. Just finishing mine and really liked your African masks. I bought a few before I left but find they are too small. Do you know of a contact? Thanks, smoker1
PS Stumbled across a source, thanks anyway.
