yukon deltaI don't have any tur taxidermy photos but it's a very interesting animal and it can be an extremely physical hunt (even by alpine standards). A number of hunters have fallen as I'm sure you know.
Are you going for Kuban or Dagestan tur? I would like to hear more about it. Tur are one of those animals that look completely different depending on the angle you are viewing it from.
I am hunting the dagestan. We could go earlier but we were told that the skins ar better later in the year even if its a bit more difficult.Depending on the quality and if I take one I was thinking that to full mount one the animal needs to be doing something dramatic to get the most out of it.The idea I have in mind is to have it look as if it is leaping down hill much like a tahar mount with one foot on a smallish pedistol leggs kicked back in the air which I hope will give maximum effect.I let you know more if and when I get one

yukon deltaSounds interesting. Who are you hunting with? Tur are becoming more popular but there are still quite a few hunters that don't have a clue what a tur is.
I don't know who the hunter is but this tur is from Azerbejain.
The hunt has been organised by Bryan Martin.I haven't met him but he has worked with a mate of mine here in Aussie(Chris Nash)Bryan is a sheep guide and a damn good one from what I have heard.Seems to have it all sorted out and I can only hope I shoot something as good as the picture you posted FANTASTIC.I just thought it would be a different addition to the trophy room.SO if I do get one will post pictures and somewhere down the track the mount
