european trophy room
I finally got pictures of the rest of my trophy room with the mounts I've gotten done in the last 3 years. The African mounts were done by Rick Leach, the bear skull I did myself, and the Dorado was done by the late David Boys.

It's a dolphin fish / dorado / mahi-mahi depending on where you are from and what you want to call it.

Unfortunately I don't know the measurements...sorry. I took my warthog on the evening of the last day of the hunt. I shot it at about 230 yards acrossed the narrow part of a dam (lake). We sent the dogs out to track it but we couldn't find it that night. I knew I had hit it well. The day after we left, my PH went back out with his dogs and found it. I was pretty happy when I got home and got an email that he had found it. I never got any pictures of it or even saw it until it came back from the taxedermist.

I have to admit, that is really cool room. I am partial to getting shoulder or pedastal mounts but the way to did the room looks really nice!

WELL DONE!

I like it a lot and it's something I will probably do myself. You saved a lot of room and money going that route.

I'm sorry if I seem ignorant, or have missed something, but why do you call it "the european trophy room" ?
Nice trophies though, i especially like the dorado and the warthog.

A euro mount is the skull and horns/antlers only. It's very common in euro castles and estates.

Oh....
Jesus, i missed that. I'm from europe too, so the mounts seemed so regular to me that i didn't even notice them. I thought that there is something "european" about the overall design of the room or that some of the trophies are from europe (which seemed really weird, hence the question).

What part of Europe?

Nice mounts. Except the dolphin, to me anyway, doesn't look real. I've caught plenty of them in Gulf Stream waters. None were that lit up, even coming over the gunwale. But I see lots painted just like yours.

Use Enough Gun
Very tastefully done and I like the photos underneath. Puts everything into perspective and helps with the European mounts.
