Staley KeckTrophy Room/Den Addition
Haven't posted here in a while, so I thought I show yall what we have been putting most of our efforts into for the last 2 years. Other than the pouring and stamping of the concrete, my wife and I did the rest on our own.
I was pleased the way the mini bar turned out with the poured concrete bar top and cedar post supports, the only thing missing is the bar mirror behind but thats soon to come!
My wife liked the fireplace insert with the 115# mesquite mantle that came from her parents farm in West Texas, all thats missing here is the gas log set on the way.
All in all we are proud the way it turned out and appreciate others posting here to give us some great ideas, maybe now we can return the favor!
Thanks again,

BwanaColeWow! Thats a lot of work, well done. I would think about stringing a strand of low voltage lights about 3 0r 4 foot away from each wall that you can attach positional lights on to illuminate each of your mounts. It would give them a more natual apearance and reduce shadows created by overhead and table lamps. Also, thats a LOT of wood! If it ever feels like its encroaching on you, try mixing a some white paint and thinner and doing a very light wash on the ceiling. The lighter the ceiling colour, the taller and larger the room will feel.
I really like the bar and paw prints in the top are outstanding! I'll have a gin and tonic please, ice if you have it but warm is fine too.
Cheers!

Kyler HamannVery nice. That's quite an accomplishment to do the work yourself.
