Lechwe Mount Pictures, Please
Lechwe Mount Pictures, Please
Dear All,
In some unspecified future, I'll need my (Kafue) Lechwe mounted - likely as a shoulder mount to be positioned on a wall. I would sure appreciate to see some pictures of mounted Lechwe before then, if you could be bothered, please?
I seem to remember to have seen pictures of Lechwe mounted in a semi-sneak position with horns stretched back along their necks. I also seem to recall this as an attractive position? But pictures would be #1, and in as many positions as possible, please.
Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Mike, congrats on the lechwe!
Haven't seen any reports yet. Are you making one?
Sorry for off-topic post. Haven't got any lechwes to show.....yet...

Hi Anders,
I think there will be a "hunting report" forthcoming. Andrew (fairgame) had something planned and I'm waiting to follow his lead. My own role in this adventure sadly had to be cut a bit short due to a medical emergency, but I was fortunate enough to have managed to take my Lechwe before then. So all in all, it was a very good experience.
Did you see the pictures of Brad's elephant from Lungwa?? Impressive is an understatement! And just wait till you see his Lechwe.

Looking forward to it!

Hope that medical issue wasn't too bad, Mike.
Congrats again on the lechwe. I'm glad you managed to get it!
I saw that elephant. Monster!

Aaron NeilsonMho - I mounted my Kafue Lechwe and my Black Lechwe, together on a pedastal. Something to consider.

Aaron NeilsonMho - I'll look for some? I have the mount in storage at the moment, so I will have to see if I can find any pics.

lavacaMike,
I think your idea of mounting a lechwe with its horns laid back on its neck is a great one. I've wanted to have a kudu done in the same way. Let us see pictures when you get it done.
Nice, thanks for the pointer.
