My m44 slugs .314, so I am about to try a 160 gr gas check that casts .3135 and size it and the gas check at .314 and see if it will improve the 3" at 50 yds groups I am now getting, shall be trying it next week.

Fish Sinkers! Jeez, why didn't I think of that? I got a blue million of them in the tacklebox. I think I'll go to the welding shop and pick up a brass rod tho, the thought of putting a steel rod in the bore and whacking on it with a mallet makes me just a little queezy.
