polishing mould cavities
I got a dremel tool for Christmas. Since then I have used the white fiber cylinder-shaped disks to polish out the cavities on several moulds, both iron and aluminum. It has helped tremendously. Now all my bullets drop right out instead of hanging up and having to be tapped out.

Thanks for posting that. I have polished mould cavities before but only with a bullet cast in that cavity. I do this to avoid rounding over the edges of the cavities which would create fins on the bullets as the hot lead filled the voids between the blocks.

I may investigate this method.

Hi Max503

What sort of polishing compound (if any) did you use?

I have one mold that needs to have some sort of first aid applied!
