gas check
Never heard of anybody doing this, but can a gas check designed bullet be shot without a gas check?

Yes. Absolutely. But only if using data for non-gas check bullets!

maybe, cast 25-caliber bullets and give them a two lap paper wrap of onionskin paper to get the diameter from .258" to .266". Cast fairly soft, they slug up in the bore and do not lead.
That's how my bullets get patched for use.
