JumptrapRe: trouble with Lee mold
Never begrudge well tendered advice.
I had a pile of Lee junk several years ago. All gone now. Must be 80+ moulds of all descriptions on the shelves now...even a few NEI aluminum moulds. It isn't the aluminum blocks, it's who made them. I have one brass mould from CBE, it's a work of art. The other iron moulds made by Cramer, B&M, Lyman/Ideal, Saeco, RCBS, and H&G all work as advertised. Instructions not withstanding. No smoke required or preps of any kind.
I haven't been at this as long or nearly involved as many of you are. However, with 3 furnaces and 5 lubers and that pile of moulds, I manage to get by.
Thanks for the advice. I will try to increase the temp. I probably just got some lube in the cavity. I got my 2 cavity lee mold to work just fine. This one shouldn't be that much trouble.
