<HHI 812>Anyone shoot LBT bullets in their .357 Magnum?
Just got a S&W 66, and wondering what kind of ballistics I can expect with these bullets? Don't want to go too heavy in my 2 1/2" barrel, so want to find out which weight would give me a good compromise between velocity, weight and good meplat. Thanks for your advise! felixFor that gun's intended purpose, why not just plain Jane wadcutter? Not the store bought hollow base kind because the velocity would have to be kept too low. The WW or better kind. ... felix

graycgDennis,
I shoot 180 Grain WFNGCs out of mine all the time, lube with blue and seat on top of 15.7 grains of H110. I shoot 3 inch groups off the bench at 100 yards from my 6 inch 686 with 2x pentax scope. People watching always ask me if it is a 44.... I think you can push them faster, but I'm happy with what I've found. BTW, this mould has the .4 inch nose on it because all my 357s except an old model 28 I have will allow that length, it works in a 66, 686 but is a mite too long for the model 28. Thats ok, the model 28 is a shorty and the Lyman 358156 works great out of it.
regards, lucky you live Hawaii Brah!

Alaska Bush ManYes I shoot the 180 LBT in my 357 Mag
Python 2 1/2". I use 12.0/of 2400 and CCI Small Pistol Primers. One of these days I am going to try to fine a 8" barrel for it.
