Surplus Linotype
I no longer do any casting and I have approximately 20 pounds of clean linotype to dispose of. Does anyone have any suggestions. I think it's too heavy to ship.

You can ship it via USPS Fixed rate box for about $10 in a #4 box.

With only 20 pounds it makes the shipping a little steep unless you want to give it away or can add enough other material to make the cost per pound cheaper. If you're going to give it away ... I'd be happy to pay for the shipping ... and I'd be REALLY appreciative Wink

I just responded to a guy who expressed an interest in buying it. If it falls through, I'll get back to you. You may send me a PM and I'll give you my e-mail address. I weighed the stuff on a bathroom scale and it's more than I thought---32 pounds.

Good,

32 pounds is enough to sell for sure. Is not an uncommon thing to sell on eBay. Often brings $.75 to $1.00+ a pound. Shipping then adds < $0.40/pound.

Thanks,
