Any experience with Magnus cast bullets?

DoublessIt was a very long time ago, but the first revolver I ever loaded for was my 629 Smith... I bought a box of Magnus 240 SWCs and loaded them up with what the late Finn Aagard said would shoot accurately: 11 grains of AA #5 and standard LP primers. They wouldn't stay on a pie plate at 50', and that is the honest truth. A subsequent check of bullet weights showed an 11 grain variation, if memory serves. (I don't remember how many bullets I weighed, but it was less than 20...)
I went out and bought a Lyman four cavity 429421 mould and a Lyman pot, melted the bullets down and never looked back. To the best of my memory, those are the only cast bullets I have ever bought.
I suspect they have gotten a lot better or they would be out of business.
