Cast in 7.62x39 - REM SPR18 Single Shot
Just picked up a break-open made in RUSSIA - in 7.62x39 - REMINGTON SPR18 - single shot rifle.

Barrel is about .311/.302" groove/bore.

Never thought I'd have a Remmington made in Russia, but it's got a great stock, good lockup and a brilliant 4 groove bore.

Lots of thinking through bullets and loads now.

Hey Tim, the Lee 312 155 works great for me. It casts fat enough that the bearing bands are fatter then the bore you have and the nose is right too. I shoot it over 26 grs of surplus 4895 out of my Yuko SKS.

I remember you from when I was on castboolits.

Max - Thanks! Lee's are cheap enough to try one of each.

I just slugged the bore - .300 and .311". Narrow lands, 4 grooves and I think it's chrome lined.

We'll see how it shoots - don't like the sharp angle of the lands to the throat though. I'll start with .312 hard shot (# something) because I have some on-hand.

I remember your name as well - been a few years.
