Go to the Shooters' Talk website and select "Cast Bullets." Then go to the archives [CB room] and search for "Felix Lube" or "World Famous Felix Lube," which is named after Felix Robbins, its originator

I just made some last night,
8 tbs heavy mneral oil
4 tbs caster oil
4 tbs anhydrous lanolin
1 tbs carnuba turtle car wax paste
75 grains ivory soap
100 grains paraffin wax
3 5/8" x 3 3/4" x 1 3/16" white bees wax
30 drop colored candle wax die

place mineral oil ,caster oil ,anhydrous lanolin, and paraffin wax in pot to heat until mix starts to smoke & is mixed, then add ivory soap, bees wax & color die,let mix melt then add car wax paste. bring to boil until done.be carefull not to boil over (this happened to me & what a mess).turn heat down and let sediments settle to bottom.then I transfered lube to another container, and let cool.
good luck Roger

Make it the way you want, especially if it works, but according to Felix, do NOT cook the AH lanolin. Cook the two oils only for thirty minutes at just below smoking, then add the Ivory soap, then bees wax. AH lanolin is last, and by then the pot can be removed from the heat and just stirred to finish melting the lanolin. This is EXCEPTIONALLY good lube. Also, I have found that in many instances accuracy improves when not lubing all grooves. Just have to experiment. sundog
