BEWARE! SR4759 or SR4756? There are two and the names are that close... The 4759 is an OLD rifle powder. IMR has data. The 4756 is a slow shotgun powder useful in magnum pistol loads. Used mine up shooting .357 long ago... Again, I would hit the IMR data and start there. Hodgdons also takes email questions. Another very good source. luck.

4759 is a great powder and I use it in a lot of guns. However, I think it is too bulky for the revolver cartridges. It would shoot OK but velocities might be low. I never tried it though.
I even use it in the 7BR and 7R for super accuracy and it shines in the 45-70 revolver.
Be worth a try, let us know how it does.

I've shot SR4756, under cast bullets, in my 44 Mag. and 41 Mag. revolvers, for years. It is very consistant but a little dirty.
I used SR4759 in a Witchita pistol chambered in 308 for reduced Sil. loads.
