I am quite happy with my FAL with a Bushnell HoloSight on top. The only mod to my rifle is the sight mount receiver cover and the Bushnell. No temptation of casting for them either, being gas operated. Don't have a 1911, would a SIG P220 do?

An AR10t with twenty rounds mags of 175 grain Sierra Matchkings. Should deal with most any four footed critters.
