Lyman mould question?
Does anyone have an older Lyman mould catalog as to the application of Lyman mould # 311576 It appears to throw a 120gr. + or - RN bullet

Hutt,
My 1973 Lyman lists #311575 as 120 grains with round nose and gas check.
Top punch and seating screw is #465

Thanks franke, Do have any idea what calibers it could be used for being of round nose design?

.32-20 was probably what it was intended for. Would work fine in .32 Long or .32 H&R Mag. Good choice for 7.62x39 if the nose is not too blunt to feed. Galley and small game bullet in .303 Brit, 7.7 Arisaka, 7.65 Argentine, etc.. Size to .309 and it oughta do good in the .30 Carbine.

Likely a few more I missed.

Hutt, From the Lyman 45th, bullet 311576 originally intended for the M1 Carbine. Two grease grooves, gas check and normal cast diameter of .313. Regards, Woody

Hutt...Woody1's correct...30 Carbine.

If you have one, it's a fairly hard to find mould as Lyman only carried it one year to my knowledge. I think aladin has/had one at one time as I heard him mention it in a post.

I'd like to run across one sometime./beagle
