Black FlyM 98,
I tend to melt, flux and make ingots of all my lead finds. The key is to mark them permanently. I have about fifty pounds of ingots from a number of sources that I did not mark and cannot remember what they are! After ten or fifteen years, the piles get mixed up. Arrgh!
Just be sure to label them.

im specifically refering to linotype, not lead wheel weights, im not sure if i melt the linotype i might be "burning stuff" out of it that is useful

rmb721I melt my wheelweights into one pound ingots and my linotype into one-half pound ingots.
