Tim, I agree with R2 in that the nose needs a litte more rounding. It would help to maintain velocity and keep the nose from being banged up as badly. Meplat size at 0.15 would be good enough for me too. Look at Lyman's 225646, which has an excellent high velocity nose (from 5000 shots worth of experience). A "truncated cone angle" leade in from the driving band to the ogive would be ideal like the Lyman boolit, rather than something sharp, because the sharp would likely get banged up too. I have concluded over the years that sharp corners have no bearing on "target" performance whatsoever. I wonder if the taking of game would notice either, on how sharp the corners are. ... felix
