True. Heat destroys fragile lube ingredients, and carnauba is one of them. The order of melting stuff is important. The most HARDY FIRST, and then add to the pot the most SENSITIVE LAST. Peanut oil first, beeswax second, carnauba last. Re-iterate the same order to modify the mix upon a reheat. ... felix

Carnuba is a natural vegetable product, if you heat is quite a bit, it will break down and loose much of it's lubricating properties.
Don
